The game has a free roaming world, allowing Travis to move around on foot or on his modified scooter, the "Schpeltiger". Throughout the game, the player controls the character Travis Touchdown. The game was followed by three sequels: No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle (2010), Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes (2019), and No More Heroes III (2021). A port developed by Engine Software was later released for the Nintendo Switch in 2020, and for Amazon Luna and Windows via Steam in 2021. Unlike the original, the international version of the game was published by Konami, and only the PlayStation 3 version of the game was localized in English. A port of the game, titled No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise, was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with additional content in Japan. No More Heroes was met with critical acclaim, with its gameplay, writing and soundtrack receiving high praise, thought its perceived repetitiveness was criticized. The game follows Travis Touchdown, an otaku who wins a beam katana in an auction, from which he inadvertently becomes involved in the United Assassins Association and forced to kill assassins higher in rank to prevent other assassins from targeting him. The game was directed, designed, and written by Goichi Suda, also known by his nickname Suda51. It was released by Marvelous Entertainment in Japan in 2007, Ubisoft in North America and Rising Star Games in PAL territories in 2008. It is unknown if it remains canon. No More Heroes is an action-adventure hack and slash video game developed by Grasshopper Manufacture for the Wii. However, when the Blackhole Prison scenario was cut from No More Heroes III, this fact was dropped. Originally, it was planned for Midori Midorikawa to be revealed as the daughter of Fleming, the main antagonist of Shadows of the Damned.Midori Midorikawa has the most humanoid appearance of the Galactic Superhero Corps, appearing totally human apart from her arms.Having survived the encounter, Midori appears alongside Kamui in the post-credits scene. Travis ends the fight when he cuts off both her hands, but Kamui stops him from killing her. Once he finds her, she accidentally teleports them both to a quarry (meaning to teleport them to the roof of the school) for their battle. Midori encounters Travis in a simulation of a bloody high school, leading him through it with a green flame. She also warns him to not take his anger out on Kamui, since he can't be killed. She texts FU to cancel their meeting, having slept in too late. She and her boyfriend Kamui accepted, thinking of it as a casual affair to take advantage of FU's status.įU attempts to meet with Midori for lunch before her scheduled fight with Travis Touchdown, like the rest of the Galactic Superheroes. She has evidently learned to control her hand powers, and garnered enough attention for FU to offer her a place in his group. Midori Midorikawa appears in the universe of No More Heroes as part of the Galactic Superhero Corps. She was then approached by Kosuke Kurumizawa to join his Union, believing her powers could be useful if she learned to control them. In those stories, Midori was a disturbed high school girl who began murdering her fellow students, using mysterious powers in her hands that she held no control over. This puts her in the same universe as The Silver Case. Midori Midorikawa is from the short stories Red, Blue, and Green included in The Suda51 Official Complete Book.
